07Questions families ask

Answers before you call.

What does a caregiver help with?

Everyday tasks that have gotten harder: bathing and dressing, moving safely around the house, meals, light housekeeping, errands and companionship.

How do families pay for home care?

Most families pay privately or through long-term care insurance. Our Pay for Care page walks through the options.

Does Medicare cover in-home care?

Medicare generally does not pay for personal care, like help with bathing or dressing, when that's the only care someone needs, and does not cover 24-hour care at home.

How soon can care begin?

It depends on your needs and schedule. We'll give you an honest answer on the first call.

Are your caregivers screened and trained?

Yes. Caregiver screening includes a background check before employment, and we contact two references directly. Caregivers complete a 90-day initial training period and orientation, then receive monthly training led by a registered nurse.

Ready to talk about care?

You don't need to know exactly what you need. Tell us what's happening, and we'll help with the next step.
